Job Summary:
Produce Company is looking to hire a full-time, talented, and motivated HR individual with a strong drive to succeed. In collaboration with the HR Dept, the HR Coordinator will work closely with the worksite employees and management team. Essential Job Duties:
• Support all areas of the employment lifecycle, from recruiting, payroll to termination
• Partner with management and employees in assigned locations to provide advice and counseling on performance management issues, conflict management, interpretation of employment policies
• Supports benefit administration by answering employees’ questions, assisting during open enrollment
• Handle employee relations issues by conducting and documenting investigations and providing recommendation on corrective action and progressive discipline
• Administers employee Leaves (PDL, FMLA, CFRA) and ADA accommodations in accordance with applicable state, federal, and company policies
• Manages unemployment and worker’s compensation claims and reporting
• Partner with supervisors and leads to oversee all aspects of the timekeeping process
• Support preparation and facilitation of annual performance review process
• Provides and assists with training and development support to employees and Supervisors (schedule may include Saturdays)
• Establish a human resources presence at assigned location
• Updating and maintaining personnel files
• On-boarding and off-boarding, training; developing training modules, organize and participate in training sessions
• Perform other tasks and functions as assigned to provide support to other team members and internal departments
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills required:
• 1-3 years of Human Resources related experience
• Strong computer skills: must be proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required (Read, Write and Speak fluently)
• Previous work experience in food manufacturing or produce industry knowledge preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team (Office and outdoor Agriculture Team)
• Personable, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively multitask
